WASHINGTON (AP) — Military leaders aren't taking issue with lawmakers who say more needs to be done to fight sexual assault in the armed forces. But as they testified to a Senate panel today, they expressed concerns about efforts in Congress to take away some of the authority that commanders now have to administer justice in those cases. Army Gen. Martin Dempsey, chairman of the Joint Chiefs of Staff, says taking away command responsibility could hurt a commander's ability to "enforce professional standards" and to "accomplish the mission."
