HEBBRONVILLE, Texas (AP) — Border Patrol agents have seized more than $3 million in illegal drugs in two separate incidents in and around Hebbronville in South Texas.

Authorities say 21 bundles of marijuana and 27 packages of cocaine together weighing about 558 pounds (253.11 kilograms) and worth more than $2.5 million were found inside a truck agents stopped in the town about 150 miles (241.39 kilometers) south of San Antonio. The driver tried to flee and has been arrested.

San Antonio television station WOAI also reports agents responding to reports of suspicious activity at a ranch near Hebbronville stopped a truck Friday and found 34 bundles of marijuana weighing about 734 pounds (332.94 kilograms) and worth more than $600,000. A Mexican national driving the truck has been arrested.
