A Morgan's Point teenager was in the Bell County Jail Friday, accused of sexually assaulting a minor.

17-year-old Noah William Schaefer was arrested Thursday, May 11 after a review of evidence by the Bell County District Attorney's Office.

In a media release, Morgan's Point Police Chief Fred Churchill wrote that the alleged assault happened in a home in Morgan's Point in February. Police were notified on April 24 and opened an investigation. They presented their findings to the Bell County DA on May 10.

Jail records indicate Schaefer was booked into the Bell County Jail at 4:41 PM Thursday and charged with aggravated sexual assault of a child. Online records did not indicate bond, but Chief Churchill wrote it was set at $100,000.
