Simply put, with all the traffic construction on 190 that seems like it'll never end, driving in and around Killeen takes expert level skills that most don't seem to have.

In a few months we'll see what sort of picture traffic fatality numbers paint of Texas' driving skills in 2022. What we do know is that 2021 was the deadliest year for drivers in Texas in over 4 decades, and a study found that one Central Texas intersection is one of the deadliest in the U.S.

FM 2311 and SR-31 near Axtell placed at 4th in Texas and 34th nationally, with 6 traffic fatalities from 2000 to 2019.
