MUMS! A Texas Tradition
Homecoming in Texas is unlike homecoming anywhere else in the United States. The fanfare, the dance, the homecoming court, and the game are about routine (though extra large because it's Texas), but there is one thing that probably sticks out more than anything - the mums!
Mums are those huge ribbon arrangements the ladies wear like dresses. Bells, streamers, lace, flowers, mascot plushes...anything you can cram on there to give the mum more mass is welcome.
A student in Justin, Texas has taken the mum game to a whole new level. WFAA-TV recently shared a photo of Brooke Boyd, a senior at Justin Northwest High School whose mom covers the entire front half of her body.
As you can see from the photo, Brooke's mum is the ultimate example of everything being bigger in Texas!
