Draft Night 2021

Last night was the first and second round of the NBA draft. The evening was filled with plenty of action with several big moves happening during the process. New talent has officially begun to spread across the league.

Trade Talk

The NBA draft is prime time for teams to try and maneuver around the league and see what trade options are available to them. Last night was no different as many team switched swapped and traded picks to get their team in the best position possible.

The Big Move

The big move of the night happened between the Lakers and Wizards which sent star players across the country. The Wizards dealt Russel Westbrook to the Lakers in return for the No. 22 pick, Kyle Kuzma, 2 more players and some future picks.

Top 10

The top 10 players taken out of the draft are typically the best bet for teams looking to add talent. While you can find talent outside of that, you usually want to place your bet on the proven players. So go after winning teams players and that should help right?……

In Steps Baylor

The Baylor men’s basketball team won the NCAA tournament this past year. Most would assume they’re probably a good place to go for solid talent right? Well, Sacramento thought so and took Davion Mitchell at number 9 overall last night.

2 Bears Better Than 1

The Baylor Bears sent another player to the NBA when Jared Butler was drafter No. 40 overall by the New Orleans Pelicans. He was eventually traded to the Jazz and will be taking his talents to Utah.

More Champs

Mark Vital and MaCio Teague were 2 more Bears to get the attention of the NBA. Each of them have agreed to deals with NBA teams, with Vital agreeing to a deal with the Portland Trail Blazers while is Teague headed to the Utah Jazz on exhibit 10 deal.  For now, the future looks promising for the Baylor Bears Champions.
