One Dead in Cameron After Fatal Shooting

Police in Cameron are investigating a fatal shooting took place Wednesday evening.

According to Rissa Shaw and our news partner KWTX, authorities found a man dead in the 400 block of South Jefferson Avenue after responding to a call of shots fired around 5:21 PM. The victim was reportedly shot in the head.

Police told KWTX they have a suspect in custody and have detained several other people, but details were not made available. The investigation continued Thursday.
