Central Texas Man Shot in Face

KWTX reported that a man suffered a gunshot wound to the face in Cameron on Thursday afternoon.

Authorities responded to the scene in the 1600 block of North Crockett Street around 2:30 p.m. on Thursday. The 911 call said there was a possible shooting that took place.

The victim shot at the scene was Keelon Williams, 26 of Calvert. According to the authorities, he was shot once in the face with a small-caliber weapon. He was taken to Baylor Scott & White in Temple for the gunshot wound to the face.

Authorities said Williams was responsive at the scene, and investigators are asking anyone with information on this shooting to call the Cameron Police Department at (254) 697-6574.
