Russian Man Dies After Trying to Eat Tablet Computer

Russian police say one man was so desperate to avoid being arrested that he tried to eat a tablet computer in order to end his life.

Police were called to a home in St. Petersburg Sunday afternoon after receiving reports of a man throwing things from a window. When they arrived, they found a 41-year-old man acting strangely. By the time they noticed the man was swallowing pieces of a tablet computer in order to harm himself, it was too late. The pieces of glass he'd consumed led to fatal injuries.

Authorities were still investigating the man's motives Monday.
