According to a press release, KISD officials will be hosting a town hall meeting tonight (Thursday Oct. 27th) with the Killeen Police Department starting at 6:00 PM until 7:00 PM in an effort to address recent concerns about violence at Shoemaker High School.

The purpose of this town hall is for district administrators to receive feedback from parents, teachers and staff on how to address recent issues of violence and safety for students and staff. The town hall meeting is seen as a response from the district after videos on social media of students jumping other students went viral. Parents demanding answers, created a Facebook group called "Ignored Voices Of Killeen Independent School District" to discuss solutions and to also report other concerns.
