Alarming Study Reveals People Tweet, Snap Selfies and More While Driving [POLL]
We've all heard the refrain that you shouldn't text and drive. Well, it seems there is a whole slew of other questionable phone-related behavior we need to stop.
A new survey by AT&T has revealed some alarming facts about what motorists do with their phones while behind the wheel.

- Surf the net (28%)
- Facebook (27%)
- Snap a selfie/photo (17%)
- Twitter (14%)
- Instagram (14%)
- Shoot a video (12%)
- Snapchat(11%)
- Video chat (10%)
Those are obviously some eye-opening figures and go hand-in-hand with an AAA Foundation for Traffic Safety survey which found that 36% of drivers in 2014 had read a text or an email -- a jump of nearly one-and-a-half percent from the year before. The study found 27% typed a text or email, also an increase from the previous year.
The AT&T survey of nearly 2,100 people found 30% of people who tweet while driving do it "all the time" and 22% who use social media on the road claim it's an addiction. Meanwhile, 62% of all motorists polled make sure their smartphones are within easy reach.
