Teenager Charged in Death of Texas Teen
KWTX reported that a teenager is in custody for the murder of a fellow teenager in Texas.
Christopher Sterkes, 18, is currently in Collin County Jail with the charge of murder for a shooting that left a 15-year-old dead.
According to online jail records, Sterkes is being held on a bond of $500,000. Authorities in the town of Anna, said the shooting occurred from a drug deal that went awry.
Anna authorities said, the shooting took place in the intersection of Wylie Farm Road and Creekview Drive in the town of Anna.
Authorities said, "Sterkes and four others were fighting inside a car." Authorities also said, Sterkes got out of the car from the altercation, and began shooting as the car was driving away.
One of Sterkes' gunshots hit 15-year-old Alejandro Camancho in the chest as the car was driving away. Camancho was dropped off at Medical City McKinney for the injuries he suffered. Camancho died later from the gunshot wound he suffered in the altercation.
