The Associated Press reports that three people died and four were hospitalized after a pickup truck hit another vehicle head-on after crossing into the wrong lane.

The crash happened on a rural highway around 50 miles outside of Dallas in the small town of Anna. The Texas Department of Public Safety reported Sunday that the crash rolled the car involed into a ditch, and the crash is still under investigation.

The crash occurred on Saturday night in the Colin County area when it was raining. The authorities at the scene said both drivers died and one passenger in the car passed away as well.

Another passenger in the car and three more in the truck were taken to nearby hospitals for the serious injuries they faced after the accident. The names or ages of these victims have not been released to the public yet.
