KWTX is reporting that a panel of judges has voted for three Western Hills Elementary Students to advance in a national gardening competition as part of the Bonnie Plants Program.

The three advancing students are: Deyauna Milton, Vaughn McQuiston, and Elizabeth Collins. The three grew some very healthy cabbages that have weighed in at 11 pounds!

The program at Western Hills Elementary is called "Rockin' Roadrunner Junior Master Gardeners", and grows everything from corn to cabbage and even watermelon. Some of their produce goes to the school chef, others are sold at school events.

Congratulations to all the Western Hills Elementary students and staff members! Here's a look at who's who at Western Hills in 2016-2017.
