A house fire that broke out early Sunday morning has left a family with nothing.

KWTX's Ke'Sha Lopez reports that the fire happened in Whitney. According to the West Shore Volunteer Fire Department's Facebook page, it started at 2:30 AM in Laguna Park.

Thankfully, the people who called the house their home were not present at the time of the flames destroying the home. However, the damages of the home have been assessed, and the house has been reported as a total loss.

The West Shore Volunteer Fire Department, Whitney Volunteer Fire Department, and Clifton Volunteer Fire Department were all at the scene helping to get the fire extinguished at the home.
