Texas Officially Has a State Flower Song
Not everything in Austin is important. Some of it is just nice.
The Texas House of Representatives, with the Senate concurring, have adopted the "Bluebonnet Song" as the the State Flower Song.
So now, when you're taking the family photo in a sea of bluebonnet you can have this playing in the back ground. Or, if you're a true Texan, you can be singing it yourself.
"In the great land of Texas, in the dawn of the spring. There's a delicate flower that blankets the plains. It's shaped like a bonnet, so lovely a hue. A beautiful gift from the Lady in Blue."
Art. 6143bb. State Flower Song Resolved by the House of Representatives, the Senate concurring, That it adopt the Bluebonnet song as the State Flower Song.
