Texas Republicans Seek To Ratify Controversial Political Maps

AUSTIN, Texas (AP) — Republicans are looking to ratify political maps drawn by a federal court today as the Texas House begins hearings. Minority groups and lawmakers say those maps discriminate against Hispanic and African American voters. Democrats want to adopt completely new maps or allow the San Antonio court to draw new ones.
