The Secrets Getting Out About Son’s Island at Lake Placid Near New Braunfels

It's never good to keep secrets, because they always get out sooner or later. Here's one secret that could be a good thing to "get out".

If you're beginning to find the crowds at New Braunfels getting a bit thick, try driving 10 more miles to Son's Island.

The island is 3-and-a-half acres of land on Lake Placid near Seguin and, according to some, an island paradise. It's also "private".

The island houses 40 open air lakeside cabanas. You can rent them individually or in groups by the day.

Each cabana rental includes entry for eight guest, and up to 15 folks per cabana. The cabana's feature a hammock, lounge chairs, picnic table, BBQ pit, comfortable seating, bar top and stools, water & electricity, plus a private swimming/fishing dock per cabana.
