This is Why A Conally ISD Elementary School Teacher Was Arrested
A teacher at Conally ISD in Waco, TX is facing a charge that no parent would be comfortable with.
According to a report from our news partners at KWTX, Timothy Bruner, 59, was arrested on Thursday, October 14, for the online solicitation of a minor.
Who Was The Minor?
Fortunately, an undercover deputy was the "minor" that Bruner was communicating with. Many times officers set up stings or make fake online accounts to draw out predators. Even though Bruner is said to have known he was communicating with a minor, he sent lewd messages and photos.
Who Is Timothy Bruner?
Bruner is listed as a primary school second grade teacher within Conally ISD. The district has released the following statement regarding his arrest:
“On October 14, 2021, Connally ISD was informed by the McLennan County Sherriff’s Department that an educator employed at the Connally Primary Campus was arrested for alleged conduct not related to school. The information shared by McLennan County did not indicate any allegations of any act or victim from the Connally ISD community. Connally ISD has placed the educator on administrative leave according to CISD policy and will continue to monitor this matter to ensure a safe school environment.”
At This Time
Bruner posted a $50,000 bond, and is no longer listed as an inmate at the McLennan County Jail as of Friday morning.
With the deaths of 3 educators and 1 student having occurred in the district just recently, this news can't be easy to face for the district and the community.
