Truck, Skeletal Remains Found in Search for Missing Coryell County Man
Police in Coryell County report that they've located the truck of a man who's been missing since early September, and they are working to identify skeletal remains found nearby.
Brian Nesbit's truck was discovered by local ranchers in a wooded area just off the eastern end of County Road 342 on Thanksgiving. Police combed the property with a K-9 unit Tuesday morning. Around mid-morning, they came across human remains about 200 yards northwest of Nesbit's truck.
According to a media release from the Coryell County Sheriff's Department, invetigators are awaiting the results of an autopsy to positively identify the remains and determine a cause of death.
52-year-old Brian Nesbit was last seen pulling out of his driveway near Flat around 1 PM on September 7. His family issued a $1,500 reward for any information that might be used to find him. They mentioned that he had a medical condition that required serious attention, but did not specify what it was.
