Being a parent of a child with autism can be tough and the University of Texas At Austin will be offering free help to parents who need it.

According to KXAN, UT Austin's Speech And Hearing Center will be offering free online or in-person training to parents of children with autism to help improve communication skills and behavior. The Project SKILLS program will teach parents how to play with their children therapeutically, along with other strategies for coping with everyday challenges.

Parents and caregivers of children who are between 1 and 10 years old can sign up by emailing utprojectskills@gmail.com or calling 512-471-2014. The program will also provide internet access and iPads for those who need them.
