Waco Man Admits to Aggravated Sexual Assault of Infant Daughter
A Waco jury has convicted 27-year-old Patricio Medina on one count of aggravated sexual assault of a child younger than 6, and two counts of injury to a child, and two counts of endangering a child.
Medina's conviction came after he was found to have admitted to the crime to a fellow inmate. Medina confessed he sexually assaulted his 38-day-old daughter while high on methamphetamine. His wife also testified and pleaded guilty to two counts of child endangerment. Patricio cried as the verdicts were read in court.
This incredibly awful crime happened in March of 2014. The infant suffered 45 broken bones and other injuries which were discovered by a doctor during the girl's five-week checkup.
Medina is being held in the McLennan County lockup since April of 2017. The jury will move on to the punishment phase of the trial later this week.
