Waco Officer Struck and Pinned Beneath SUV
UPDATE 1:08 PM: KWTX reports that the driver of a vehicle that ran down a Waco police officer Tuesday morning has died.

KWTX reports that a Waco SWAT team and drug enforcement officers were attempting to serve a warrant on a vehicle. They made a traffic stop, and as an officer was approaching the vehicle, the driver ran him down.
The officer was pinned beneath the vehicle as others opened fire on the suspect. They managed to lift the SUV off the officer, who was then taken to Baylor Scott & White Hillcrest Medical Center with severe head injuries.
The driver/suspect, who lived in the neighborhood where the indecent occurred, suffered several gunshot wounds to the head. Paramedics were reportedly performing CPR as he was being transported to the hospital.
