Zaxby’s Will Open Soon in Killeen
Turn's out there's yet another chicken chain to try out.
Could a restaurant that has its beginnings traced back to a basketball court be a good fit for Killeen? We'll see very soon.
The Killeen Daily Herald reports that Zaxby's will open later this summer at 2150 South Clear Creek Road in Killeen. (A Temple location is set to open on South 31st St. near Scott & White Hospital soon.)
They classify themselves as "fast-casual". To me that means you can get it quick and either eat it there or take it home. Killeen's Zaxby's will seat 90 and offer free Wi-Fi.
Zaxby's has restaurants in 17 states. They're mostly in the South, but some have opened as far west as Utah and as far north as Indiana.
They'll celebrate their Grand Opening by giving away a deck of 52 "Free Dealz" to the first hundred customers through the door. That's something free from Zaxby's for a year.
I swear, before moving to the South, I thought chicken started and stopped with KFC. It seems KFC has become a last resort.
