1 Dead, 3 Hospitalized After Stabbing at University of Texas
UPDATE 7:25 PM: Our news partner, KWTX, confirms reports that 20-year-old Kendrex J. White, the suspect into today's fatal stabbing at the University of Texas, graduated from Killeen High School in 2014.
UPDATE 4:19 PM: The Austin American-Statesman reports that the suspect in today's stabbing at the University of Texas in Austin has been identified as 20-year-old student Kendrex J. White. White was in police custody Monday afternoon.
According to the UT student directory, White is a biology major at the school. An Everipedia article making the rounds on social media indicates White is a graduate of Killeen High School, but no major news outlets have substantiated this.
One person is dead and three others have been hospitalized after a man believed to be a student started stabbing people on the campus of the University of Texas at Austin Monday afternoon.
KXAN reports that police were called to the area of the Gregory Gym around 1:50 PM, where they found the fatally wounded victim and three others who'd been stabbed.
A suspect is in custody, but police have not yet commented on a possible motive.
Amateur footage uploaded to Twitter appears to show a victim being treated on the steps of a building on campus.
