Applications Now Available For Temple Christmas Parade

This city of Temple, Texas is now accepting applications for this year's Christmas Parade coming up on Monday, December 5th.

The theme chosen for 2016 is" It's Christmas! A Time for Peace, Love and Joy!" Groups who wish to participate can find an application at TempleParks.com. All clubs, schools, and businesses are encouraged to fill out an application, and enjoy the parade theme with costumes, vehicles and floats.

The Christmas Parade Committee plans on the parade featuring thousands of Christmas lights along with parade floats, marching bands, classic cars and much more. Rules of participants are also available at the Temple Parks website, and include some guidelines for groups wishing to build floats for this years festivities. Parade floats must feature at least 300 lights and should be no larger than 40 feet long and 13 feet tall.

The last day to submit an application is Friday, November 18th. The cost to enter your group in the parade is $65 for businesses and $35 for individuals. For more information you can call Holly Leiferman at 254-298-5540.
