Baylor Head Coach Recovering from Back Surgery
KWTX reported that one of the most notable figures at Baylor University is in good graces after a successful back surgery on Wednesday morning.
The head of Baylor's Lady Bears Basketball team, Kim Mulkey, underwent back surgery on Wednesday morning. Mulkey had a spinal fusion surgery completed in order to help her deal with neck, arm, and shoulder pain.
The doctors who performed the operation on Mulkey, fused her C5-6 and C6-7 vertebrae during the operation. The pain she had been dealing with was aggravated by the team's flight to Italy, where they were recently playing exhibition games. Mulkey's family reached out, and reported that she was doing well after the operation was complete.
