A Belton veteran received the holiday gift of a lifetime courtesy of non-profit group "Helping A Hero".

According to KWTX, disabled Army Veteran Steve Land, who lost both of his legs after being hit with an explosive device in Afghanistan, was gifted a brand new home on Saturday by "Helping A Hero" which has awarded over 100 homes in 22 states to combat veterans with multiple amputations, semi-conscious needing 24/7 care, severe burns, severe traumatic brain injuries, and complete blindness.
