Copperas Cove police and firefighters will square off in a dodgeball match to benefit the Blue Santa program, and you can watch for the price of an unwrapped toy.

Cove police announced this will be the first annual dodgeball game between the two departments. It'll be played Saturday, December 3 at 5 PM in the Copperas Cove Avenue E Alternative School Gym, 306 East Avenue E.

Members of both departments will donate an unwrapped toy as the price of registration to play, and people who want to watch the match are asked to bring an unwrapped toy as well.

Donations will benefit the Copperas Cove Blue Santa Program, the goal of which is to provide Christmas gifts to 500-600 area children.
