KWTX's Brandon Hamilton reported that for the third year in a row, a teenager in Copperas Cove his helping to do her part in kicking cancer.

Ariel Draper, 15, is a student that attends Copperas Cove High School in Copperas Cove. Draper's idea to raise money for cancer patients was a personal choice for her.

Draper said, "It started out three years ago when my grandmaster's wife was diagnosed with cancer for the second time. I just felt horrible that I couldn't do anything to help so I decided to try and raise money to help pay for her medical bills."

The 'kickathon' event was held in front of Candy Outfitters located in the Frontier Plaza Shopping Center.

Numerous local groups participated in the 'kickathon' in Copperas Cove on Saturday. Demonstrations from the House of Discipline, Legacy Martial Arts, Self Defense America, Martial Zen, and Master Ead's U.S. Taekwondo and MMA.

All proceeds made from the 'kickathon' will be donated to the Pink Warrior Angels of Central Texas.
