‘COPS’ Will Begin Filming Again, But We Won’t See New Episodes
Heads up: the Bad Boys are back! I am, of course, referring to the TV show 'COPS'.
The long-running show was pulled from American TV back in May following the death of George Floyd. 'Live PD', a show with a similar format of following officers with TV cameras during their rounds, was pulled from TV following Floyd's death.
KWTX reports that Langley Productions, the production company that films and distributes COPS, has requested permission for its film crews ride along with deputies in Spokane, Washington, where a sheriff says they've had a long running relationship with the show and Langley Productions.
'COPS' has been cancelled here in America, but some countries still air the show. A spokesman for Langley Productions told The Hollywood Reporter that these new episodes will air for their international audiences only.
I, for one, support our men and women in blue and think the show should return to U.S. television airwaves. It's a great way to see that the majority of the police do the right thing.
