The chase began around 7:30 p.m. on Sunday night, after the authorities attempted to pull over a driver in a black Honda Accord for violating a traffic law. The stop was attempted at the intersection of Rev. R.A. Abercrombie Drive and Taft Street.

The chase would soon come to an end when the driver of the Accord ran a red light at the intersection of Martin Luther King Jr. Blvd.and Stan Schlueter Loop. The driver of the Accord hit a Chrysler sedan, and would get out of the vehicle to begin the chase on foot.
The driver was caught in no time, and apprehended by the authorities. The three people in the Chrysler sedan that were struck by the driver of the Accord, were sent to Seton Medical Center Harker Heights for their injuries.
Killeen authorities said the injuries of those in the Chrysler sedan were not life threatening, and the driver of the Accord was taken to Killeen City Jail. The identity of the culprit wasn't immediately known at the time.
