KWTX's Christy Soto reported that a man was involved in an early morning wreck on Interstate 35 North on Monday in the Central Texas area.

The wreck happened by exit 314, and was between the Central Texas towns of Troy and Bruceville Eddy.

The injuries the man suffered were life-threatening, and he was transported to Baylor Scott & White in Temple by helicopter.

Troy Fire Department, Department of Public Safety State Troopers, and Troy Police Department were on the scene of the accident.

Reports from the scene of the accident said that the SUV the man was driving struck a barrier, and then was hit by a semi on Interstate 35 North.

The only information known about the man was that he was an older male. Only one lane was opened on Interstate 35 North in the area due to the accident, and defintiely was a huge delay for drivers. Work crews were hard at work to have everything reopened by 7:00 a.m..
