If you thought we were done with elections in Texas, not so fast, my friend.

Texas held its Republican and Democratic primaries back on March 6th. A lot of races didn't have a clear winner, so it's runoff time!

Early voting for the May 22nd primary runoffs will be open from May 14th to May 18th. The winners of the primary runoffs will advance to the November 6th general election.

Democrats have a runoff between Lupe Valdez and Andrew White, who hope to unseat incumbent governor Greg Abbott. Here are a few of the local runoff elections that will be on the ballot:

TEXAS HOUSE DISTRICT 54: Incumbent Republican Scott Cosper vs. Brad Buckley

US DISTRICT 31: Democrats Mary Jennings “M.J.” Hegar vs. Dr. Christine Eady Mann both of Cedar Park are in a runoff as 8 term Congressman Rep. John Carter awaits on the GOP side after winning his primary in a landslide.

BELL COUNTY Commissioner Precinct 2: Republican Tim Brown (I) vs. Bobby Whitson

Lampasas County Runoffs: Larry W. Allison vs. Randy Hoyer for County Judge, Jamie Smart vs. Ron Farr for Precinct 2 County Commissioner, and Edith Wagner Harrison vs. Trina Wykes Hudson for District Clerk.

Coryell County Runoffs: Janice Gray vs. Roger Miller for County Judge, Becky Moore vs. Jeremy Pruitt for District Clerk, and Randi McFarlin vs. Cindy Hitt.
