The Associated Press reported that an explosive device was found at a Starbucks in Texas Thursday morning.

The device was found at a Beaumont, Texas location by an employee outside the coffee shop early Thursday morning.

The employee reportedly carried the package inside and tried to open it, but stopped after seeing a note on the box that raised suspicions.

The employee called police to investigate the package. FBI and ATF investigators showed up as well, and were able to render what they called a "legitimate explosive device" safe.

Authorities are investigating the package and its origins.
