Five Reasons To Keep You From Moving To Killeen
Now that its been determined by U.S. News & World Report that Killeen is one of the top 100 best places to live in America, I suspect that you are contemplating moving here. Let me warn you now: I got 5 reasons why you probably won't want to move here.
Lack Of Mansions
Sorry billionaires, Killeen suffers from a lack of mansions due to our affordable real estate. Doesn't mean you can't come down and build a palatial spread like the one below but everybody in the city is gonna know its YOUR house and do you really want us to be driving by it pointing fingers like "look, there's the 'billionaire'"?
Too Many Food Options
If you know what you like and stick to it, don't move to Killeen. The food options here will drive your simple taste buds INSANE. With just about every kind of food nationality available, if you just want a burger and fries, we're gonna ask if you want to add a side of brisket to your order....just a heads up.
Enjoy long 2 hour rides home even though you live 15 minutes away from your office? Don't move to Killeen then, every thing is closer than you think and if you don't have a car you can ride the hop or take an Uber/Lyft.
Lack of Exciting Life Night
You want to stay inside and enjoy peace and quiet? Don't move to Killeen then, Until recently, there wasn't much to do in Killeen besides sitting outside and listening to the artillery practice from Fort Hood, but now we have a world class comedy club, concerts every other weekend and the club scene is diverse.
So you're coming from the cold east or the warm west coast where folks don't like to say "hello" to each other? Well don't move to Killeen because folks here are nice and will give you the shirt off their back if you need one not to mention come together when our neighbors are in need.
