Fort Hood Hosting Job Fair for Veterans, Military Spouses
If you're a military spouse, veteran, transitioning soldier, National Guard member, or reservist looking to start a new career, you'll want to be at Club Hood Thursday, July 11 for a free job fair.
Disabled American Veterans and RecruitMilitary will host the fair from 11 AM to 3 PM, and over 60 employers ready to hire will be in attendance.
A special focus at this event will be providing career opportunities to military spouses. Shelby West with RecruitMilitary shared some statistics with us, reporting that over 600,000 (nearly 25%) of military spouses are unemployed or underemployed. That's more than six times the national average.
RecruitMilitary.com is a handy resource for military spouses looking for work or to start a new, more lucrative or challenging career. They even offer a number of remote work opportunities, meaning you could work from the comfort of your own home and potentially keep that job if you move.
Don't forget - that job fair is scheduled for Thursday, July 11 from 11 AM to 3 PM.
