Man Pulled from Waco Wave Pool Passes Away
A man who was unresponsive when pulled from a pool at BSR Cable Park in Waco late last week has passed away.
Rissa Shaw and Drake Lawson with our partners at News 10 report that the 42-year-old's identity has not yet been released. He was rescued around 10 PM Thursday, July 4th and transported to Baylor Scott and White Hillcrest Medical Center. Officials have not released details about the cause of death.
There seems to be a dark cloud hanging over the BSR water resort. Last year, 29-year-old Fabrizio Stabile of Ventnor, New Jersey died as the result of infection by an amoeba shortly after a visit to the park. In April of this year, his family filed a wrongful death suit against BSR, seeking over $1 million in damages.
On July 1, 2019, BSR owner Stuart Parson's Axtell home was destroyed in a fire. Fortunately, no one was in the home when it was engulfed in flames.
