KWTX reported that the heavy rainfall over the past couple days in Central Texas has led to a breach in a dam in a local lake.

Milam County Sheriff Chris White said, "It is unknown if the waters from Rogers Lake would danger any lives or property."

The Rogers Lake is located just south of Rogers, and has seen a little over two inches of rain since early Wednesday morning.

White also said, "A deputy, as well as Milam County Precinct 1 Commissioner Richard Watkins were headed to see the lake for themselves."

White made a Facebook post saying, "The area that could be immediately affected would be County Roads 102 and possibly 103 – which are downstream of the lake."

There was no further information on the status of the lake at this presnt time.
