Home on Temple’s MLK Drive Destroyed by Fire
A Temple home is a total loss after being gutted by flames early Tuesday morning.
Kathleen Serie with our news partner, KWTX, reports that Temple firefighters responded to the blaze in the 800 block of Martin Luther King Jr. Drive around 4:45 AM. When they arrived, heavy flames and smoke were issuing from the front and back of the structure.
Serie reported that firefighters were able to get the fire under control by 5:10 AM. No injuries were reported, and no one was in the home. Utilities were running to the house, however, and it's unclear if anyone was living there.
The cause of the fire is under investigation.
