We know the kids are out of school this week and if you don't feel like dragging them all around town while you begin your holiday shopping on Black Friday, the city of Killeen has a way to keep them entertained while you knock out that shopping list.

The Killeen Family Recreation Center at Lions Club Park is hosting a day camp Friday November 23rd from 8 a.m. until Noon to give parents a day off for holiday shopping or other errands. Kids ages 6 to 12 will have the run of the center for a morning filled with activities and pizza. The cost is $15 per child for rec center members and $25 for non-members.

A second day camp is planned for December 21 from 4 to 8 p.m. to give parents some kid-free time for last-minute holiday preparations and we'll keep updated about that as the date comes close.
