Balloons could be seen drifting up and away from the grounds of Long Branch Park on Sunday evening as classmates, friends, and family, held a remembrance for Parker James Leporin-Vazquez.Parker was killed as the result of injuries sustained during a hit and run accident early Friday morning. The accident happened in Harker Heights in the 600 block of East Central Texas Expressway around 5:30am. 16-year-old Parker would have started his Junior year of High School this week.

Parker was walking with another person who was also struck by someone driving an SUV described to be black in color, possibly a GMC Arcadia. Police are still trying to find this vehicle, and the person behind the wheel. They are looking for a dark colored SUV that would have major damage to the front passenger side.
