Killeen is Hiring Students for Summer Jobs
Summer is on the way, and if you're a student (or the parent of a student) 16 years or older who's looking for some summer cash, the City of Killeen is hiring. In fact, Killeen has opened up more than 100 jobs for you to apply for.
The Killeen Daily Herald reports that applications are being taken now at KilleenTexas.gov/Jobs through March 25th.
This is a great opportunity for kids to learn the responsibility of having a job while gaining valuable work experience and making some money throughout the summer.
Positions include lifeguards, pool cashiers, grounds maintenance workers and more. Pay ranges from $7.25 to $11.50 per hour. Perfect for a 16 year old looking to fill their Summer with work and making money.
It's never too early to teach your children about a great work ethic. Put them to work this summer, then start charging them rent so, you know, you can also teach them about financial responsibility.
