Killeen Police Investigating Shooting at Stone Hill Apartments

Police are investigating a shooting at a Killeen apartment complex that left an 18-year-old woman injured Thursday night.

In a news release, Killeen PD spokeswoman Ofelia Miramontez said officers were dispatched to the Stone Hill Apartments at 101 W Central Texas Expressway at 11:17 PM. When they arrived, they found an 18-year-old woman with a gunshot wound to the leg. She was taken to Baylor Scott & White Hospital in Temple, and her wound was not life threatening.

The victim told police she was visiting friends at the complex when a shot rang out and she realized she'd been injured.

Police say suspects have been identified, but as of Saturday afternoon, they had not made the suspects' names public.
