Always remember to yield to emergency vehicles responding to an accident as you travel in Central Texas. Unfortunately, this wasn't what happened at the intersection of Stan Schlueter Loop and Trimmier Road on Sunday when a passenger vehicle slammed into a Killen Police Car.

KWTX reports that the accident happened about 3:30 PM Sunday. What's sad is the officer was responding to another call for assistance when he approached the intersection with his lights and siren running. The passenger vehicle failed to yield and crashed into the officer.

The officer was taken to Seton Medical Center, and the two adults and 1 child in the passenger vehicle were brought to Metroplex for medical attention. All the individuals are reported to be in stable condition according to KWTX.
