Large Central Texas Rural Weed Farm Found by Authorities

KWTX reported that authorities on Tuesday made a rather large discovery in some rural fields on Tuesday in Navarro County.

Deputies were checking out evidence they found from what appears to be a large marijuana growing operation.

Three large fields were found in Angus, Texas containing numerous marijuana plants. Navarro County Office of Emergency Management said in a tweet, "Thousands of plants in various stages of growth were found in three separate fields in the Angus area along SW 0030."

Texas Department of Public Safety had a helicopter giving them support from the air while authorities were on the ground in the area.

Authorities advised residents of the area to stay clear at the present time.
