A wanted man in Central Texas had to do one of the most unthinkable things you could do while turning yourself in to the authorities.

KWTX's Rissa Shaw reports that the man, Tyler Edmonson, turned himself to Limestone County officials in Groesbeck on Monday for an outstanding warrant he had for possession of a controlled substance.

Sheriff Dennis Wilson of Limestone County said that a standard pat down was being performed on Edmonson, when a deputy made a startling discovery.

Deputy Patton, who was patting Edmonson down, found illegal drugs in the man's pants pocket. Limestone County officals believe Edmonson was attempting to take the drugs into the jail with him.

A new charge of possession of a controlled substance was added to Edmonson's rap sheet. Edmonson is currently in the Limestone County Jail, and the Limestone County Sheriff's Office said on their Facebook page that "People never stop amazing us."

We're with you on that one, guys. We're with you.
