Man in Custody for Robbery of Area Credit Union
KWTX reported that a man from Fort Worth has been arrested for being connected with a credit union robbery iin Hillsboro.
Authorities say it happened at the First Central Credit Union at 305 Coke Street shortly before 4 PM Friday.
The man accused of robbing the credit union reportedly entered with a handgun and demanded cash from employees.
Hillsboro authorities were initially unable to locate the suspect, but were able to make an arrest after the Hillsboro Criminal Investigation Unit worked to find out the man's identity and address.
The 36-year-old male suspect from Fort Worth was brought into custody around 3:45 PM Monday. He was identified as Robert David Mielnicki, and has been charged with aggravated robbery. His bond was set at $30,000. Due to the nature of his crime, FBI agents are investigating.
