Most of us got off to a chilly start today thanks to a big cold front that moved in overnight, but firefighters in Nolanville were feeling the heat early this morning as they battled a house fire.

Chelsea Edwards with our news partner, KWTX-TV, reports that firefighters responded to reports of a house on fire on FM 439 near Lonesome Oak Drive shortly after 3 AM. High winds posed a challenge as fire crews worked to stop the flames from spreading.

Thankfully, nobody was inside the house, and neighbors told firefighters they don't know of anyone living there. No injuries were reported.

The cause of the fire remained under investigation Monday morning. Edwards reported that investigators will be checking for signs of arson.
