Morgan’s Point Home Destroyed by Fire Days Before Wedding
A Morgan's Point home is a total loss after two fires in as many days, and to make matters worse, a woman's wedding materials were inside and are ruined.
KWTX reports that four people were displaced by the fire at a home in the 900 block of Benchmark Trail that started Wednesday evening and was rekindled Thursday morning.
Morgan's Point firefighters responded to the home around 6:45 PM Wednesday. Flames ruined the home, as well as materials for the wedding of the homeowners's daughter, which was scheduled for July 1. Thankfully, there were no injuries.
Firefighters from Morgan's Point, Moffat, and Temple responded to the same address shortly before 7 AM Thursday after smoldering debris caused another fire.
KWTX reports that a UPS driver noticed and reported the fire, and was able to save a dog that was inside the home. No injuries were reported.
The cause of the initial fire remains under investigation.
